Teas of India (Nilgiri) Description TN-001-Nilgiri Broken Orange Pekoe: Located in southern India Nilgiri produces teas similar to those of Ceylon yet with a distinctive characters. This British style Nilgiri is now back in stock. Produces a flavorful cup. Excellent with milk. TN-002-Bop (Seasonal): A flavorful tea harvested at the peak of the flavory season (the slower growth period which produces a more elegant and flavorful tea). Excellent hot or iced. TN-003-Flowery Orange Pekoe: Exquisite black tea from a major estate in Nilgiri. A natural hint of lemon with complex fruity overtones. Excellent with or without milk. TN-004-SFTGFOP: Our favorite from a series of samples. Reminiscent of a slightly flowery Darjeeling. Good body and pleasant complex flavor with an excellent finish. Highly recommended. TN-005-Organic S. Indian (Tamil Nadu) Pekoe: Another addition to our list of organic teas this selection has a mild and refreshing liquor and is reminiscent of Nilgiri teas and other selections from South India. Low tannins and earthy tones. TN-Organic Oothu S. Indian O.P. : This bold-leaf version is another organic offering from this source. Well twisted and carefully processed leaves connote the high quality of this selection. A good choice for smooth afternoon "cuppa". |
